The president, B.J. Church, of one of the Bible schools I attended used to say, "When you don't know what to do, don't do anything". This was good advice in making decisions. However, we should not let fear stop us in our tracks. We must realize that God is in control.
Hab 3:17 — Hab 3:19
Though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vines, [though] the product of the olive fails and the fields yield no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold and there are no cattle in the stalls,
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the [victorious] God of my salvation!
The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds’ feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]! For the Chief Musician; with my stringed instruments.
No matter what you are facing God is in control and there is something you can always do and that is worship God.
You may be struggling financially, pay your tithes as worship to God.
You may have illness that has overtaken you, worship God.
Your family may have turned against you, worship God.
Realize that perfect love casts out all fear and there is no more perfect love than what our heavenly father pours out on us.
Don't let the things around us stop us from worshipping God. This is what the enemy of our souls would love to do to us. He wants us to get our focus on our situations and get our minds off of how great God has been to us or destroy our faith in His ability to bring us through our situation.
So, the next time you are facing a difficult situation, don't just stand there, but begin to walk towards Jesus. Worship like He has already given the victory.
Lord, thank you for your blessings and your power. Help me today to begin to walk towards you and see you salvation. You are all powerful and all mighty. There is nothing too big that I am facing that you cannot handle. I will trust you with everything.
