Perspective of God

Have you ever been in a situation where you thought you had all the answers and you told God exactly how He needed to fix the situation?  I know I have.

We as humans think we have all the answers and know exactly how things should be done and the way God should do it and the steps He needs to take in order to get it done.

Job was kind of this way in that he saw his situation and thought that God should do things exactly how he thought it should be done to the point of even saying that he should have died at birth.

After Job's friends have their word and try to persuade Job that he was a dirty rotten sinner and that was why he was going through all this, God speaks in Job 38-41.

He asks Job some very pertinent questions, but as I read this I realized what God was saying.  He was asking, do you not realize I have everything under control because I created it all.  I made things exactly the way I wanted it.

Job repents of his Outlook on his situation.  Sometimes we need to ask God to forgive us for trying to take our problems and situations into our own hands and not giving it to Him.  He is bigger than our situations.

He then prays for those who tried to determine why he was in the situation he was in.  We need to pray for those who are trying to give us answers that are not of God.

God blesses Job more because he humbled himself before God and changed his perspective of God.

Lord, help me today to see you for who you are and how great you are and give you everything and everyone that comes into my life.  You are bigger than anything that comes my way.
